Oxymetholone (brand names Anadrol, Anapolon, others) is a synthetic, orally active anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) and 17α-methylated derivative of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) that is marketed in the United States, Europe, and elsewhere in the world.
